This episode of Ženergija is dedicated to queer visibility, pride, resistance, community, and the power of taking up space in the heart of the city.
Guest: Daniel Hill — artist, curator, and photographer
Daniel Hill is a Vienna-based artist, curator, and photographer working with photography, moving image, installation, performance, and archival research. His practice explores queer embodiment, visibility, public space, and the ways marginalized histories are preserved, erased, or reactivated through artistic work. Alongside his artistic practice, he curates exhibitions and public programs with a strong focus on queer histories, performance, community knowledge, and cultural visibility.
Since 2023, Daniel has curated and hosted MQ Pride Night at MQ – MuseumsQuartier Wien . What began as a single Pride Month event has grown into a vibrant queer summer series celebrating joy, resistance, performance, poetry, dance, music, drag, and community.
This year, MQ Pride Night expands into four evenings from June to September, bringing together artists and audiences to celebrate, reflect, connect, and make queer presence visible in one of Vienna’s most prominent public cultural spaces.
Tune in and join us as we talk about queer culture, visibility, public space, archives, art, and what it means to create community through celebration.
