Your first steps towards your own radio show
Do you want to get to know ORANGE 94.0 and find out whether to start your own show? At the Information Evening you get to know all about the radio station and about your possibilities to participate.
Learning how to make radio is the first step towards creating your own program. Particpating is mandatory for main editors of ORANGE 94.0. In the Basic Course you get acquainted with recording, editing and copyright.
Draft and sample
Write down your idea and make a draft describing what your show will be about. A manual about how to write a draft is in the list of documents below. Then produce a first sample show, according to your draft. Don't worry, it doesn't have to be perfectly recorded and mixed. You are free to use our equipment and studio.
Also mind the document "Tipps für den Sendeantrag".
Send us both draft and sample show via e-mail or mail if you want to (our adress can be found here). We're happy to hear from you!
The board meetings take place two weeks after the submission dates.
A board of representatives verifies, whether your show applies to the guidlines of Free Radio and decides over the admission in the regular schedule.
The Charta of Free Radio in Austria (Charta der freien Radios Österreich) und the code of honor of the Austrian Press (Ehrenkodex für die österreichische Presse) equally serve as a basis for the decision.
If your show is chosen our program coordination team will contact you to find a slot in the regular schedule. Afterwards you need to sign an agreement (Sendevereinbarung).
From then on your show will go on air.
If the board agrees with your draft, but your sample show needs improvement, ORANGE 94.0 can support you in improving it.
If you have any further questions contact our program coordinator
